Planting
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10).
My darling, let Me create something new within you today. I plant seeds of hope within you, and I promise to bring you joy.
Do you believe I can and I will? Truly, do you believe?
Do you now ask what it will require, this planting?
Do you wonder what you have to give to receive gifts of hope?
May I ask you—is there somewhere else that you could receive these gifts, on your own?
You have a choice: receive the gifts—my gifts to you, my daughter—or not. But you can’t find hope on your own. And you can’t find joy on your own.
Do you believe I can give these gifts to you? Do you believe I want to?
Why worry about what the gifts will require of you to receive them?
It is your willingness to receive the gifts that make my cost of giving them to you worth it. I give them to you before you can receive them because I have made you, too.
You are a gift to my heart, my beloved girl. I want to give you good gifts. Believe that I am for you, child, not against you.
The requirement of receiving hope and joy is trusting Me more than yourself, loving Me more than yourself. And I give you this gift, too, to be able to do that.
Do you open your heart to receive that gift, too?

Do you ever look at the world around you and feel overwhelmed with the pain, the evil, the needs? Yes, I feel it, too. Bring your weary heart to Jesus today, sister, and let Holy Spirit speak these words over you: “Open your eyes. Let me show you what I see. Do not be overwhelmed by poverty. Do not be overwhelmed by hardships, trials, evil, disease. I do not get overwhelmed. I do not feel fear. I act, but I act from a place of abundance—the abundance of My Father’s love. A love that does not tire or diminish, a love that can be quiet and loud—gentle but not unsure.” → From “Believing Through It All,” a Rush devotional. Some lies have stuck with us for so long that we see them as a natural part of existence. We simply don’t know another way to think or live. I can’t tell you how many times God has had to reorient my mind to let go of those kinds of misbeliefs and align my heart with His truth. But the only way to know if you’re believing a lie is to compare it with the truth—so in that spirit, I want to share with you this Wild at Heart podcast episode with John Eldredge and Jennie Allen, about lies that sabotage our lives.
